This one doesn't quite fit in either collection I have in mind, so I'll just post it here

Well actually not one, but five haiku's, forming a sequence.  Like the water cycle, but not quite so wet.

Haiku Sequence:   Nature’s Fight for Survival 

Rainfall to a child:

Drops of water, coming from

God's watering can.

Water from the ground

Reaches leaves in the tree-tops

Nature working hard

Gnarled tree standing proud

Unbowed by wind, rain or age;

Lord of its domain.

Discarded bottles

Littering the surroundings

Blots on the landscape.

Fragile blades of grass

Trampled by human beings

Bounce back up again.
